Este club fue fundado el 12 de Octubre de 1913, por las autoridades del ferrocarril Central Argentino, que fueron ingleses. Los primeros 5 años de vida institucional participó en los torneos de fútbol, junto a los otro clubes que por ese entonces ya se habían fundado como, Santiago, Mitre, Sarmiento de La Banda y Estudiantes. En este lapso los jugadores albos casi en su totalidad fueron ingleses. Una de las teorías acerca de los orígenes del color blanco en la camiseta de Central Argentino, tiene relación a que el seleccionado ingles de fútbol, ya por el año 1895 ya contaba con ese color para su camiseta.
